Payment reminders for Shopify

Unpaid orders, reminded until they’re paid.

ReminderClerk finds the Shopify orders nobody has paid — bank transfer, invoices, quotes and till sales — and reminds the customer on days 3, 7 and 14. Shopify sends each reminder under your store’s name. When the order is paid, the reminders stop.

How it works

Three minutes to set up. Nothing to do after that.

  1. Step 1

    It finds what’s unpaid

Install from the Shopify App Store. ReminderClerk reads the last 60 days of orders and shows what nobody has paid. Nothing is sent.

  2. Step 2

    You tick what to chase

Bank transfer, invoices, quotes sent as draft orders, till sales marked unpaid. Your manual payment methods are ticked already.

  3. Step 3

You keep or change the plan

Days 3, 7 and 14 from 09:00 on weekdays, store time. Paste your bank details, send yourself a test, turn it on.

  4. Step 4

    It stops by itself

Shopify sends each reminder. When the order is paid, or the customer says they’ve paid, the reminders stop.

The payment page

Everything they need to pay, on one page that reads as your shop’s.

1

Your store’s name leads

Not ours. The customer sees the shop they bought from, the order number and the amount, exactly as in the email.

2

The amount still due

Read from Shopify when the page opens, so a part-payment or an edit shows straight away.

3

Copy for each bank detail

Account holder, IBAN, BIC and the reference, one tap each. Big enough for a thumb.

4

A bank QR code

GiroCode for euro orders, the Swiss QR-bill for francs. Shown where the customer can scan it with another device.

5

“I’ve already paid”

One tap pauses the reminders, tags the order in Shopify and tells you on Home.

6

No login, no cookies, no tracking

One page per order behind a signed link. It says plainly who sent it and why.

Your screen

One screen in your Shopify admin.

Two figures

What is unpaid, and what was paid after a reminder this month.

Every order says why

Being chased, needs you, customer says paid, can’t reach, has a due date, or not chased and the reason.

One order at a time

Don’t remind, Resume, Include or Cancel order. Anything that cancels an order or brings a reminder forward asks first.

Trust

Built so a customer who has paid is not chased.

Why it’s safe to switch on

  • It waits until day 3 before the first reminder.
  • Just before each send it reads the order again from Shopify and sends only if it is still unpaid.
  • Every reminder has “I’ve already paid”, which pauses the reminders straight away.
  • Shopify sends the email from your store. ReminderClerk reads no customer email addresses.
  • At most three reminders per order, never more than one email to a customer in a day.
  • Nothing is cancelled unless you switch cancelling on. Quotes never are.

What it deliberately doesn’t do

  • No SMS, no letters, no late fees.
  • No bank matching: Shopify marks orders paid, by you or your bank app.
  • Part-paid orders are listed, not chased.
  • Orders with Net or fixed-date terms are left to Shopify’s own reminders.
  • No abandoned checkouts.
  • No promotions in a reminder — it stays a service message.

Questions merchants ask

ReminderClerk waits until day 3, and just before each send it reads the order again from Shopify and sends only if it is still unpaid. A transfer you haven’t marked as paid yet can still get one; every reminder says to ignore it if paid and has “I’ve already paid”, which pauses the rest.
